Looking for a way to help from home?

We often need support from people with software development, graphic design, English editing and teaching, law, fundraising, business and marketing experience. Please contact us at volunteer@sevalanka.org for more information.

Volunteer in Sri Lanka

Due to current visa restrictions, we are no longer able to host expatriate volunteers for long-term placements. If you are in the country or plan to travel here, please contact us about current volunteer opportunities.

We have had requests for volunteers with the following skills and experience:

• Teaching English and basic computer skills
• Professional photography or journalism
• Handicraft design, graphic design and package design
• Organic agriculture
• Plant and wildlife surveys or environmental assessments
• Database development and information management
• Website development
• Business advisory services
• Professional chef with an interest in local, organic products

'Voluntours'

We can help you plan a 'voluntour' that combines a volunteer placement with responsible travel. Please contact tourism@sevalanka.org for more information.

Internships

We receive many inquiries each year from undergraduate and graduate students looking for internship opportunities. Due to current restrictions, we are only able to host interns who make their own visa arrangements. For internships, we request a donation to cover expenses related to the placement.
