An inspiring consequence of the Tsunami that devastated the Sri Lankan coastline on 26 December 2004 has been the overwhelming offers of condolence and support that Sewalanka Foundation has received from people around the globe.

Legal Aid, Canberra, Australia has pledged the money normally spent on New Year champagne for their New Year's office party to Sewalanka Foundation for relief aid.
Local runners in Brisbane, Australia are asking their Sunday morning running club members to donate some of their coffee and breakfast money to Sewalanka Foundation's Appeal.
Cappers Hardware Doonside Appeal: Mr. Stafford Notley has placed posters up at two of his suburban hardware shops in Sydney and is collecting money from customers.
Balmain Yoga Studio, Sydney, Australia has collected funds from about twenty participants taking part in an intensive yoga classes.
St. Francis Xavier Parish, Montorency in Australia have been having a weekly collection. So far they have raised $2640. The church selected Sewalanka Foundation receives funds as one of its patron's son was an Australian Volunteer working with Sewalanka Foundation in the East of the country for over a year; thank you!
Social Policy Research Centre, Sydney, Australia were collecting money for a staff farewell present, instead of buying a gift, the staff member leaving and her colleagues decided to donate the money. The Sewalanka Foundation extends sincere thanks to all those who have reached out to the people of Sri Lanka in this sad time. 'The Lansdowne Pub in North London undertakes a fundraiser: The Lansdowne's Pub in North London, run by Robin Keane, has collected enough money from punters to compete the support for Micro-Project No. 10. It is a great effort and fully appreciated by the family of seven children, ranging from 4 to 17 years-old, who lost their parents in the tsunami.
